I have phone service with my internet cable and t.v. cable. It is a package deal. The phone is connected to a coax cable too, it has the box that you plug the phone cord into. Is is possible to use a headset, or dial from the computer? Thanks.

Yes, you can use your computer as a phone, two products are Vonage and Skype. Vonage costs, Skype does too but much less. You need the Scype software and a headset...

Skype
You already have a package, so what you are asking for is redundant.
But yes, download Skype, buy headphones that are compatible and test them The Skype websote tells you which ones are compatible.

1) u have 2 have a head set or speackers w/a mic.
2) go 2 websites like: www.netzero.com and signup/download for their service @ $15/month + calls/rate. or use the y!messenger for $30/year + calls/rate.

i'm currently w/both, but will b drop-n netzero because of better rates. hope this helps.

if you want to use your computer as a phone, this is what you need to do:
first, go to walmart and look in the technology isle.
then, find and buy what's labeled as "transformers, robots in disguise, for your computer"
then, you come home and install it.
then, you click "activate"
then, right before your eyes, your computer will transform into a phone while playing the transformers song.
ta da! your computer is now a phone. i hope i helped.
