My cousin's husband has 12 weeks of vacation a year. In Europe, of course and he's a salesman. Yet Europe has become Americanized in a lot of ways. Lunch breaks are now less than one hour and many now eat at their desks. The only tradition that hasn't changed is the love of vacations. It's also good for the economy because many Europeans travel to other parts of Europe.

This is merely a myth. Economic growth is measured in economics by output per worker (or per capita real GDP). Although European nations have made gradual progress in catching up with American output per capita, Germany (the closest competitor from Europe) produces a little over 75% of America's output per worker.
Yes the U.S. public school system is poor but many of the American colleges are well ranked internationally. Additionally, many of those top students from schools outside of the U.S. come to America to get higher paying jobs, therefore, further increasing American output.
One more fact to consider is the vast amount of foreign currency coming into the U.S. for investments. This increases and improves capital in America, thus making the workers even more efficient.

Unfortunately this is true. The Euro is going up and up. Western Europeans have a much better life than we have. I know, I have relatives and friends there who work less have better health care for less money and have longer vacations. Mind you they still complain. They still enjoy a 2 hour lunch and are not looked upon by a waiter like they should get out of there so he can serve another table for his lunch time. They still have pastry and coffee shops filled to the max with retired ladies who are enjoying coffee and pastry. Where do we see this here? We run to big Mac and eat in the car en route to do something else. We are not better off and we do work harder.

Europeans take month long vacations, and have way more holidays on their calendars than we do. Americans don't take vacations at all and we have the fewest number of holidays.
Europeans are not more productive than Americans. The United States has the largest economy on planet earth why do you think all the poor of the world want to come here.
You must be looking for an argument.
