Video tape yourself asking the questions, or making the comments. Then play it for him; a man will always listen to whatever the tv tells him. I know I do.

I have learned this about men.
They have trouble focusing on more than one thing at a time, thus if he is doing something or watching tv he probably will not hear you.
Men can't hear women when the woman talks too fast and jumps from subject to subject. Choose one thing to talk about at a time. Talk slow and stick to one subject.
Men don't understand feelings like we do. They don't think about "just because......" They need a logical and reasonable reason for doing things.
Understanding how men are....ask them to take time to sit down and talk.
Also, many women want their man to hold them while they cry and rant and dump on them. Promise your man that when you cry and need to be held that you will not dump on them, but that later when you are in control that you would like to sit down and talk to him .
You might have to set a time for talk each da with your man.
Understanding that he communicates different than you do will help a great deal.
Maybe you can get him into some marriage counseling.

If the TV is on yes - I have learned that when he is preoccupied then I need to get his attention first - once I have his attention I ask the question. I have gone as far as to turn off the TV and say now that I have your attention blah blah blah. I would not go to this extreme at first.

I could never get my wife to talk much and now that we are seperated I cannot get her to talk with me at all....it is the most nerve racking and upsetting thing in the world. I would rather have somebody who just tells me straight vs someone who just sits there and won't say a word.

Sometimes.....i just get in his face and tell him he needs to talk to me before i get pi**ed off. Then he usually listens and talks with me. Or if i tell him i am really upset then he does. Men are just like that sometimes....just repeat the question and YELL it really loud...that's what i do. LoL!!

Nope, my husband and I enjoy talking to each other. We make time everyday to spend catching up and discussing things.
