Looking at your picture, you appear to be athletic and also a computer operator. You may very well be a victim of bad ergonomics. Also, if you play tennis, you may have a pinched nerve. I would move the mouse lower and not have to lift the arm to use the mouse. The keyboard should be 6” above the waist.

There are a number of things that could be wrong, we do not have enough information to diagnose you here. Numbness is usually indicative of impaired nerve integrity so I would seek the evaluation of a Neurologist. If the pain is excruciating, you should go to the Emergency Room.

My guess pinched nerve this happened to my wife 3 weeks ago she got a new pillow and she had a bit of pain between her shoulder blades in her back (very slight pain) but both her arms where numb and tingling and her thumbs. This continued till she switched back to her old pillow and now shes fine. I think it's called sporadic nerve.

its probably a pinched nerve. If it dont get better in the next day or two though you should go see a doctor to make sure its not something more serious than that
