The family of this young man mourned, for him. The saddest day of his Mother's life. She said a part of her heart has died with her beloved son. Then during the funeral procession, standing near the street was a nasty group of protesters. They downgraded the funeral and held up signs. What is happening in America, that protestors need to invade a funeral ? Is there no Shame or Respect anymore. What type of people are we dealing with ??

Let me guess, it was Fred F****** Phelps?? I still read my hometown newspaper even though I don't live there anymore. I agree with freedom of speech, but this protesting is over the top
He's nuts. I hear Harley riders unite and come in to form a barricade to keep the family safe. I love that. These people usually have been veterans themselves. How dare these protesters do that to a family who lost their son??

I don't know if it was the man from IC or M'town. Either way, I wish those lunatics would leave a grieving family alone. The soldier deserves to rest in peace. The end.

Yes, I feel strongly about this.

That has happened around where I live (Delaware) and legislators are creating conditions that would not allow these protestors anywhere near a funeral. A funeral is a private function and, therefore, unwanted people can be prohibited from invading.

I agree, this is a sad, sick situation. And if they think God hates America so much, why do they bother to live here?

There should be some kinda ban on letting these people protest a funeral they have no shame or respect for anyone.
It should not matter how you feel about the war, everyone is inti-tled to there on opinion, but everyone should have respect for the men and women who are over there fighting to preserve our way of life. And no one should have to see such evil people when they are already grieving the loss of a love one.
These people and I use the term loosely should all be put on a plane and took over there, maybe we would all be better off then.

No matter how you feel about the war no one has the right to disrespect any soldiers, let alone ones that have given their lives.
