I think if someone wants to be skinny, that's fine. The trouble is, when all we see is skinny models in magazines and on TV, young girls aspire to that. I think the rule of only a BMI (body mass index) of 18 or above is a good idea. We need to educate young people that they need to eat well and just exercise! The shouldn't be obese of course but they also don't need to be stick thin. I am a UK size 8 and am naturally that size, eat loads and never go to the gym. If someone is naturally a size 6 that's fine too but nobody should starve themselves to be something that isn't healthy for them.

She looks ill & any1 who finds her attractive, must need their head examined!
It's not like we're asking 4 much.
Just that models should B a healthy weight 4 their height, build & age.
It's not helping some young girls, who misunderstand the clothes horses, opps sorry I mean models, these designers prefer 2 show their designs.
R these rich creators really trying 2 say their designs R not meant 4 any1 over a size 10?
4 the benefit of these models future health, we do need 2 say enough is enough.

Yes, they are too skinny. For the fashion world of models thats normal. I have nothing against them, remember they get paid to be that way, and not small change either. Frankly I wouldn't judge them too harshly because most of them probably see a nice juicy, fatty cheese burger, would like to have it but can't because they got this assignment coming up. They've made their choices and some even seem happy with it. Thats their lives.

I think beauty is in the eye of the beholder. While some people may think someone is too skinny another person could think she is perfect. I think Nicole Richie is grossly skinny but I have a guy friend who thinks she is stunning. I can't figure out why but that is his taste. On the other hand I am a little overweight and I think it is disgusting but my husband thinks I am gorgeous.
But to answer your question I do not think they are too skinny.

Most of them are too skinny. I do find myself wish I was a size 4 sometimes, so I can see how teenage girls can find this size ideal. My daughter is 18, 5'6 and 180lbs and very confident about herself and she likes her body. I wish I had been like that at her age. She doesn't think she needs to lose 1 lb.

I think some models are way too skinny, but on the other hand, there are some who look skinny but look healthy at the same time.

Size 8-10 and 12-14 are not big. That is the norm.....

My GOD!!
She looks like she just got out of a concentration camp!
I don't understand why designers have to get models this thin, it is not attractive in the least bit.

I looked at the link...that is just CRAZY. No woman (or man, for that matter) should ever have to be that skinny. She looks sick. Too much dope maybe? Whatever the deal is, she looks like she needs to eat!
