Politicians should have their feet held to the fire if they are hypocritical. You can't have it both ways. Public persons, especially those in government are held to a higher standard and rightly so. They have, by virtue of their position, authority to right laws and affect peoples very lives. They should not benefit from their duplicity. They are no better than the Jews who helped the nazis in the camps. Collaborators should be outed.

The Foley scandal has opened doors of how to deal with gay issues. How is the Republican party to deal with the gay issue is light of its past hate for gays aided by the religious right. If the Republican Party is to be the party of Big Tent and inclusive it must divorce itself from the religious right.

I think Foley will have zero impact on the election.

I think your comment that radio talk show hosts are outing gay republicans is 100% wrong. I've heard none of it.

The only person I could imagine you're talking about is Michael Savage and I don't listen to him.

Then let's also out all the adulterers and everyone who looked at their opposite-sex page or intern or secretary the wrong way!

Seriously, I get the logic, but part of me really rebels against it. I don't think it's our business as LGBT people to drag others out of the closet. Make them accountable for how they vote, sure, but their right to privacy is *our* right to privacy, and I'm not eager to give that up.

you should never out anybody that's for them to decide when they want to be out. as far as voting against gay marriage there are some gay people that do not believe in it there again that's up to each person to decide.

i think of Mr. Foley would be taken care of in the courtroom equipment finally, i might prefer to ascertain an bi-partisan fee look at who knew and who coated it up. the those that coated it up must be compelled to step down from congress and stand trial using fact the conceal up in many strategies is worse then the particularly crime.

No, not unless the knowingly vote to restrict or continue restrictive laws against the GLBT Community. Other wise it has no standing on how they do their job.

I'm no republican, but regardless of political affiliation each person should be allowed to come out on their own schedule.

Even if they are jerks.

All queer child molesters should be outed so that the law can arrest them. These ppl are despicable, yet typical of all the queers.
