I was bitten in the middle of the night. Apparently, I rolled over on him in my sleep. Stung like the dickens & woke me up. The next morning I had a hot, red, itchy spot on my thigh where he bit me and by the end of the day, it was bigger than a saucer. Itched so bad I could hardly stand it and the only thing that helped the itching was an ice pack. Its been awhile, so I can't remember how they treated it, but eventually, the redness faded & itching stopped. I was lucky - have no scar. My advice: go to the Dr. ASAP.

Yes, when I WAS 17 AND laying on the ground watching a base ball game, I felt a little pinch and thought it was a knat, during the night I was awaken by excruciating pain and noticed my thigh was 3 times the size. Very hot, and a small core that looked gray was in the center. It took my mom taking me to 3 different Er's before the dx of a brown recluse was rendered.

I doubt there will be much feeling after the first sting. The flesh dies around the bite and they don't seem to do anything about it except to trim the dead skin away to prevent gangrene.
I don't mean to scare you, but if you email me, I think I have some pictures of a guy's thumb that was bitten. I know a guy from work that got a bite on his butt. It takes forever and they have to keep trimming the dead skin away.

It swells and turns red immediately. In about a week, the flesh around the bite may start discoloring, then start to decay. Take some Benadryl and see a doctor.

If you even think you've been bitten by one you need to get to the ER. It happened to a lady I worked with. She came to work after getting bit that morning. Thankfully the hospital was right next door.

I dont. but i got this email that it can be deadly and spread into a serious infection. I would just go and get it checked out anyway.

Almost instantly, go to the hospital NOW if you have been bitten by one, they are poisonous. Catch what bit you to take it with you to determine what bit you.
