I want to know if I can leave the pool up with no water in it & no cover for the winter or do I have to replace the liner , refill it , winterize & cover it now.

If the leak is on a seam, forget it. They're nearly impossible to patch . You're best option, if you decide the liner is trash and will be getting a new one in spring, is to just let it sit. Covering it will do nothing, but tear the cover. Poke a couple holes in it, on the bottom, near the wall, to let water drain from it and do the work in spring. It'll give you 4 months more life on the new liner, won't cause any damage to the pool itself and if you pick a warm day in spring, makes putting the new liner in easier.

But back to your question, I'd simply patch the liner you have when the water level is below the point of the leak (or empty if the leak is ini the bottom. The you can refill the pool for winter and decide if you need to replace the liner in the spring.
