I'm "employed" as a "permatemp", which means my corporation
gives me NO vaaction time, because my temp agency gives me NO time. Just two paid holidays, Fourth of July and Christmas.
Actually, my only way to get vacation time is quitting. Isn't that hilarious? LOL!
However, I still think that workers should get a minimum 4-weeks
across the board. Seems like the 2 week thing is pretty much all most people get, if that.

Are you happy with what "time" YOUR company gives you?

thanks for making me feel better, folks, one guy gets 4 weeks, the other gets seven....
kidding, cause thats really rare to get 4
or more.....usually you must clock in 10+
years for that.....that 7 weeks has me thinking you must be a teacher....

All EU countries outside of Eastern Europe
get 4 weeks right off the bat.......we take
years to accru that, and the prob is that people don't stay at one emplyer very long, and you obviously are starting over again at the new employer, so you can safely say not many folks get 4+ weeks in the USA..saddest of all is to see the corporate
brainwashed people who say they have to be hounded by HR......slave mentality precludes thinking of or taking time off,
which leads to HR b i t c hing about too many accrued days off........
no one on their deathbed ever gave the
last words of

"GEE, I WISH I SPENT MORE TIME IN THE OFFICE!"

I have been with my company for over 10 years so I get 28 days. Tack those onto holidays like most people do and you can end up taking 6 full weeks off each year. It's actually a little too much sometimes, and we are allowed to sell a week back.

We get 4 weeks per year and 3 months long service every 10 years. Actually because I am a bit of a workaholic, I find that my leave tends to build up and I get letters from HR telling me to take leave.

I am happy with the time I give myself. I'd like to give myself more work, but I need more customers.

If you don't like your PTO schedule, start your own company. You can have all the PTO you want. Then - when you employees ask you for PTO, you can look at your ledger-sheet and laugh like your bosses laugh at you now.
