Hello Sue. My mom also ballooned a bit when she hit menopause and got pretty depressed about it. She stopped eating sugar, and I downloaded an ebook for her with some good solid advice. She's got her weight happily in check again. I still have that book somewhere, I could try emailing it to you. Don;t wanna post my address here, but there's a link to my email on my profile page. Give me a shout if you want the book - it'll definitely do you more good than dieting, which is just rubbish, in my opinion. 25 pounds - what's that in kilos? About 10 or so? Doesn't sound so bad, I'm sure you'll get that off in no time when you know how. When my mom achieved her goal I took her lingerie shopping...she was one happy and proud lady. make sure that you or a loved one spoils you wrotten to celebrate your successes bit by bit, k? :-) Good luck.
HI AGAIN. I CANT REPLY TO YOUR EMAIL TO SEND THE BOOK TO YOU, AND I ALSO CANT REACH YOU THROUGH THE LINK ON YOUR PROFILE PAGE. IT SAYS 'RECIPIENT'S EMAIL NOT CONFIRMED YET'. YOU CAN WRITE ME AGAIN AND ADD IN YOU ACTUAL EMAIL ADDRESS, OR ELSE WAIT UNTIL YAHOO HAS CONFIRMED THE LINK TO YOURS AND THEN SEND ME ANOTHER MAIL. (sorry about the capitals, feels very rude to be 'shouting' like this, but otherwise you might not see that I've added something on :-) )

Check it out sue. Why do you want to lose weight. I mean really why do YOU wanna lose weight. I dont know you but i would say that you are like most people whom say they wanna lose wight for the same reason and thats "to make myself happier". Well look at your self you have spent your entire life worring about how other people will perceive you. Think of the things you potentially could have missed out on or happiness you didnt have during the"heavier times". You as well as many other people have been brain washed in to believing you are not up to what society wants you to be and you make yourself change for people you dont even know. Now what many people dont understand is you are able to be healty and still be overweight. So dont try using i wanna be healty as an excuse. Sue i dont know much i am not overweight and never was i am just some 6 foot tall 185 pound 24 year old dude but the way i look at things (be it right or wrong) just do what the hell you want to do and live your life to the fullest enjoying every moment of it. Stay healty walk a dog play in a pool with family or do something you want to do not something you think you have to do. I am a firm believer that happiness is the best way to stay healthy. You want motivation that is something nobody can give you but you. Motivation is a personal thing. If you really want motivation you have to find whats important to yourself. Good luck Sue. I wish you the best of luck in the future. (note:this comment was in no way ment to be offencive to you or your charecter)

I am 5'2" and 100 pounds over weight... when you find the answer let me know. I guess if I found out I was diabetic that might kick me in the butt. I have tried all kinds of things short of surgery. I do have thyroid issues, but thats not an excuse. I hate being overweight, I use to be a little hotty, then I got pregnant and somebody elses body took over! good luck

The way it makes me feel. When I exercise regularly, eat right, drink my 8+ glasses of water and take my vitamin every day I get so much energy I tire my boys out. I bounce off the walls like a kid with too much soda in him. That's a very addicting feeling, you feel like you're on top of the world. I'm afraid I don't really have any fitness websites that I really visit often, but Denise Austin's site is pretty good. (www.deniseaustin.com).

A full length mirror! I also bought a piece of exercise equipment that I keep out in the living room and spend 20 min on it for every 30 that I watch tv. Its been working so far...I think the most important factor is the desire to actually make the change. If your hearts not in it you wont stick to it. Good luck!

My skinny jeans... Being able to fit into my size 1 skinny jeans is my motivation. If I start having problems I work on them asap! But I work out every day anyways so I usually dont have to worry about anything. Good luck to you!

My daughter is my motivation actually. I'm 41 and she is 6. I exercise everyday because I want to have the energy it takes to keep up with her.
