2Na + MgF2 ---> 2NaF + Mg

just count the number of Na on one side = 2
on the other side the no. of Na is =2 SO ITS EQUAL

then the Mg on one side is 1
other side is 1 SO ITS EQUAL

F on one side is 2
F on the other side is 2 SO ITS EQUAL

You need 2xF on the right hand side, to match the two on the left. But you are only allowed to put the 2 in front of the NaF.
Now you also need 2 in front of the Na.
So 2Na + MgF2 --> 2NaF + Mg
