New Hampshire winters (NH is a component of NE) have warmed by 3 levels. Northern NH, the place there are almost no human beings and no progression, has warmed as much as Southern NH, the place progression has risen sharply. Ice out on Lake Winnipesaukee is earlier and earlier. 3 levels isn't sufficient wintry climate warming for snow to end. the climate has easily develop into extra severe in NH. i do no longer think of the modern snowfall replaced into quite unusual, even nevertheless thankfully such blizzards are actually not uncomplicated. The projection is that finally NH's climate could be like South Carolina's in the present day. no longer next week, and while or if relies upon on how lots is done to regulate carbon emissions now -- and how nature responds.

Okay - I have lived in northern us my whole life - yes, it gets very cold here. If you have never seen snow, or experienced temperatures below 50 degrees, you better bring some very warm clothes. Bring some sweaters, sweatshirts, a winter coat, hat, gloves, jeans, long underwear even. December is not as cold as January and February - but it can get pretty cold and if you aren't used to it, it will be a big shock to you.

It's alot colder than what you are used to up here. Pack sweaters, waterproof coat, and a gloves and scarf. I'd also pack a winter coat with hoodie and some warm socks along with closed toe shoes.
I've been to Mexico in the winter and you are looking at a potential 20* difference plus adverse weather like rain, wind, snow.
Go prepared!

New England does get cold, but dressing warm takes care of that. right now, it is october and it is 60-65 during the day and goes down to 40 at night (the nights are the worst!). in december-march, it can go down to -20. It was like -13 last year. But 32 degrees and -13 degrees feels the same. Dress in layers: pants, snow pants, shirt, sweatshirt, coat, mittens, hat. and don't go sledding or skiing in horrible weather. stay in the heated houses. it is not bad at all. i hate cold but i live! good luck!

I live in NE Ohio, and the weather is similar to Scranton. COLD COLD COLD. Oct/ Nov/ Dec shouldn't be so bad, it's Jan/Feb that are killer. But you might get to see snow, we usually get the fist snowfall around late November. Bring sweaters, a warm coat, warm socks, slippers and warm pj's.

My boyfriend is originally from Scranton, small world. I'm from CT and its been in the low 70's. PA is a little warmer than CT though. I would be prepared for weather in the upper 50's to 60's. BUt bring a couple t shirts just in case. Have fun!

I live in New England - the end of October is going to be chilly to you. Right now our weather is nice - in the 60's during the day. You will need a coat and sweaters - you definitely will need pants - not shorts or capris. You shouldn't be too cold at the end of October but December is a different story!

i live in MA and let me tell you, it gets pretty cold in oct/nov/dec. since this IS new england, mother nature cant make up her mind: meaning that one day it will be like 50 degrees during the day and 20 at night then the next day it'll be 80 degrees during the day and 40 at night. so make sure u pack a variety of different clothes because the weather is weird up here around this time of year.
