when you contract to do any building on yr home, or if someone is building a building, they must first go to the building dept, fill out a permit application, when the permit is ok'd, you can build, when yr thru building, you must call the building inspector so that he may look your finished building over and see that you built to code and built what you said you were going to build....then you have passed yr permit, and yr finished..

They make sure buildings aren't doing bad things. Then they call the Housing Police if they are and lock 'em up.

a building inspector checks the framing of the house plumbing he actually checks all aspects of the building of a house from framing to plumbing etc to make sure it is done by code
