In response to Opinionated, Halloween is NOT a pagan holiday. It started out as the "eve" before "all hallows" day....November 1 is, as we all know, now called All Saints Day.
Religious holiday, not pagan festival.
Always amazes me how many people get this wrong. I think most of them are actually searching for something to protest against. There are so many real evils in the world, why make up one more?

I am a Christian and I love Halloween!! My favorite holiday of the year because it's the most fun. I think Christians who think it's a night of satanic sin are idiots. These are the same morons who deny their kids Christmas and their own birthdays!!! They are sticks in the mud who will pay dearly for their legalisms come the White Throne Judgement. God says that he will punish EVILDOERS(yes, even those "Christians" who deny their kids their childhood fun)who abuse His children, by tying a millstone around their necks and throwing them to the bottom of the sea!!! Good riddance to the neo-pharisees!("Pharisee" means "seperated", and for good reason!) I am with you all the way, all my life I have loved Halloween the best and I NEVER, EVER became satanic as a result. As a matter of fact, I teach sunday school for 5th-6th graders, so go figure. Peace, and God bless EVERYONE who calls on His mighty name!!!

Its my favorite too...I think its really fun, that day you can be whoever you want (costume wise) it has nothing to do with real fashion and style, so theres no rules! (ok, maybe a few) Kids have a blast cause they get candy, but trick or treating is a great way for families to spend time together too. Some of my favorite memories are hanging out with my mom, sister, and a few other moms and kids from my block trick or treating. Also, its my moms birthday, and mine is 2 days later on the 2nd.

I am a Christian and am very proud of this. I go to a church that takes the holiday and makes something good out of it. We let the kids dress up in costumes. They just can't be vampires, ghosts, and things like that. We place our cars in kind of a circle in the parking lot after church that Sunday closest to Halloween and open our trunks and let them have at the candy. We call it trunk or treat. The kids love it and we have fun with showing off the different costumes the kids wear.Only one draw back. If you have a kid they are coming home with a ton of candy!!!!

halloween is actually not a satanic holiday. It originated as a day that people dressed scary to scare evil away.

Ahhhh! All Hallow's Eve! The one night of the year when the veil between this world and the spirit world is very thin. As a devoted Pagan, and Wizard par excellance it is a sacred night! We -myself and my brothers and sisters of the craft- will hold a grand seance at our favorite secluded burial ground, praise the God and Goddess for the gift of our lives and the bounty of the Earth. We will rejoice with spirits from beyond and welcome new members to our 'circle'. We will feast on all manner of great food and drink. This is so my favorite time of year!

I love Halloween, it's the only day in the year that people then consider me to be "normal".

I perfer to think of it in it's original sense.
It was the pagan new year. Nothing to so with Satan (pagans don't believe in him). As well as a fun time.
