Check your bra. You are probably not wearing the correct size or fit. There are stores you can go to that will measure you for correct fit. I kept getting a terrible pain in my breast when I wore one certain bra. It wasn't right for me.
Another reason might be that your breasts are growing or you have stretched wrong and pulled a muscle. If you have big breasts, you might have to wear a sleep-bra.
If this happens around times for your period, you might be having some water weight during that time.
Do you know how to do self-exam on your breasts to check for lumps. If not, you need to learn how.
If the pain continues for more than a few days, SEE YOUR DOCTOR, just to rule out a more serious problem.

Sometimes breast sourness is caused by ovulation. Usually about 2 weeks before your period, breast become tender and sore to even touch. It's nothing personal if your boyfriend or husband trys to be intimate and it hurts. Just explain this to him. If you have more worries such as leakage from the nipple or even blood,go have a mammogram it's worth it and can save alot of stress and worry. Also, wear a good support bra this helps keep the pain in tact.

Agh, I'm glad you asked, mine are killing me right now. I get this every month, about a week before my period is due. My breasts swell and become incredibly sensitive/painful - also can;t sleep on my tummy right now. Yeah, you can get the same thing when you're pregnant, but if you know you;re not then don;t stress about it. Just hormones on the rampage. Ouch.

I would go to the Dr. I have heard that breast are tender if 1 you are pregnant ( and I can testify that is true) and if you are about to start your period. Anyother reason I would def go get checked out b/c if it is something serious its better to find out now and that is the only sure way to know if you are ok.

Sounds like you need to see a doctor. And make sure there aren't any bumbs on there. I don't know if breast cancer actually causes pain but i would sure as hell make sure.

Breast soreness can be from alot of things. Caffeine, stress, PMS, or maybe even cysts.(probably not!) I have the same problem. This may sound stupid, but try massaging them. It really helps!!!

You could just be pre-menstrual....or your hormone levels could be a bit off due to the pill or other birth control.

Pregnancy, growth, physical trauma, hormonal changes, menstruation, ovulation, or just plain sensitivity.
