no... go to the vet and get a pill called a capstar, it will kill everything on them and it lasts for 24 hours... wait 1 hour and give them a bath in their shampoo (not lysol...) you may need to treat your house and the yard if it is an indoor/outdoor dog...
but don't be rediculous and bathe it is something you know is not good for the dog!!!

NOOOOOO! go to the store and buy a shampoo for fleas and invest in a flea collar. If you use lysol your dog might develop skin problems and require vet treatment. I put my dog on a flea pill that she takes once a month. Now I never have to worry about it.

Bathe your dog with people shampoo. The secret to killing fleas on a dog is smothering them in the lather. They can't breathe in soap bubbles. The dog must remail soapy for at least 5 minutes to be effective.

Now ask yourself how you would like to be bathed in Lysol.

ummmm....no. there's this special type of shampoo for dogs, ya know, that have fleas and ticks and stuff you can find it in the pet isle in your local grocery store, it's not that expensive. it's safer to use on your dog 'cuz well it was made for dogs....not like Lysol which was made for house cleaning purposes.
