I am going to my nephew's wedding on Saturday. I am a woman and I would like to wear black dress pants and a matching sweater, with lots of beadwork, on it. It looks very dressy, but is it appropriate? The wedding is an afternoon wedding, in the park, followed by a reception, at a local restaurant. (Also, is black ok to wear to a wedding??) Thanks, Sue

Absolutely. I don't see anything wrong with wearing pants to a wedding this time of year. I could understand not wearing them during the summer but not at this time of year. I am sure that the sweater that you are describing will gain all of the attention of you outfit and no one will even realize that you have pants on. good luck, shawttie

I think that it is okay to wear pants to a wedding as long as it is formal. I have heard or read cannot remember that you should not wear black to a wedding unless the time of the wedding is after 5:00p.m. Just thought I would let you know. Probably nobody would care though. Have a good time at the wedding..

first you need to know what the theme is for the wedding, then you need to find out what other people are going to wear at the wedding so that you won't stand out and if you want u can ask you nephew what he thinks is appropriate to wear at the wedding that was he won't be embarrassed of you and you shouldn't where black at a wedding.

Pants are fine for a wedding. Escpecially outside. I usually try to stay away from wearing black, but I don't think anything is wrong with it.

yes as long as they are black or gray style slacks I'm going to a casual wedding in November and it's at night so I always stick to wear the layered look it looks sharp plus if you get hot from dancing you can take layers off

yes, it's perfectly fine. To tell you the truth, my cousin in going to have a wedding the end of this month. As long as she dosen't ask me to be a bridesmaid(which I'm sure she won't) I am just going to wear a shirt and shirt. Maybe even just jeans and a tee. I don't dress up but once a week, and that's torture enough. lol
Dressy clothes are binding, at least to me they are.

I think that yes! , it depends also on your inportance in the wedding. And the tipe of pants of course , you are not thinking to wear jeans or something like that.
For example in my country you can wear satin black , gold etc pants with a nice form, it also depends on your age.

The outfit is perfectly fine for a wedding and will carry you nicely into the reception.

That is absoulutley okay, black pants are more comfortable than a dress and they pull of the formal look . Just don't wear jeans that is sooooo tacky.
