It's a great idea to look for your drivers and make backups of the driver folder that has the Installation version. But the drivers that are installed won't be helpful.
You see, the installation program makes changes that make the driver files work. So you need those originals.
It's too bad that some computers do not come with all of the driver disks. Some devices do not come with drivers disks. Then, the user often loses this part of the product. But the manufacturers websites usually have what you need. In this case, you can RIGHT CLICK on the My Computer ICON and go to the hardware section. From there, you can review the manufacturer's name and part number for most of these components. Write them down, so you have a checklist. Be sure to get the Video card drivers, Network card drivers and Fax/Modem card drivers as a minimum, so you can go online later to get them.

Go to www.bootdisk.com
Create a startup disk first with all the drivers you need, this includes CD and Monitor, etc.
You need the O/S, image, all the drivers
all the updates and Dont forget the Registry
You need default drivers just so the CD Rom recognzies the drve from scratch
Depending on what is wrong sometimes a simple refresh install of the OS works a pronlem out!

Best to follow up a re-formatting with a new operating system with the latest driver packages downloaded from the internet.

Yes, though it's best to download and install the newest drivers from the internet, test them, then copy them to a disk or drive.

Yes, but I would NOT recomend formatting a hard drive to ANYONE. It's a BIG pain to get everything re-installed again.
