Lola's Gold Club sells about 12,500 golf balls a year. The club is open 7 days each week, 8 moths a year. If the club sells approximatley the same number of balls each day, about how many gold balls does it sell each day?

it sells about 50 balls per day
this is because there are 30 or 31 days in a month so to take an average I did 30.5 x 8 months = 244 days (the number of days per year the club is open)
Then I did 12,500 divided by 244 which is around 50

They would sell about 52 a day. First you find out how many days they are open by multiplying 30 x 8. Then you divide 12,500 by the product (240). This will tell you how many balls are sold each day.

Watermelon: It is good that they asked 'about how many' as you do not know which months the club is open. You can then take the average month which has 30 days X 8 = 240. You then divide 240 into 12,500 = 52 golfballs per day.......

yeah take 12500 divided by 240 days the amount in 8 mths comes out to 52.08333 or 52 balls a day

12500 / 365 = 34.24
(34.24 *12)/8 = 51.39

THe people who are coming up with 52 are making a quess about the number of days in a month (30 or 31) Since that was not apart of the original question you should leave it out.

7 days x 8 months (32 weeks) = 224 days
12,500 golf balls / 224 days = 56 golf balls per day

(365 days a year divided by 12 is 30.4)
30 days times 8 months is 240 days (total open clucb days)
Then you take 12500 balls and divide by 240 days and you get ....

the answer could be 55-56 depends on your answer choices the correct answer is 55.8.
i got the answer by multipling 7 and 4 which gives you 28 the amount of days open in a month and then mulitiply 28 and 8 which then gives you the total amount of days the store is open in the 8month period. Divide that by 125000 and you get the answer.
