dogs can when they're young...my dog stays in a pet taxi for about 2 hours then he goes out to potty. the other day, he was in his taxi and he heard 2 ppl come up our drive way about 50 yards from the house. he stays inside at night.
p.s. he's a chihuahua! ; )

cats, because they have extra sensors on their paw pads they can even feel an earth quake a couple of days before the earth quake actually hits hard.
