you cant really have an opinion on it unless youve been in the situation yourself

i dont like it personally i could never do it, i couldnt live with the guilt.in an ideal world, i think that it should only be an option if there are medical or abuse issues involved. although saying that this is not an ideal world and if it were to be changed then there would be alot of silly, immature girls getting pregnant and maybe having to give the baby up for adoption, which isnt a solution either as there are already far too many children in need of adoption! i do think though that if the same people are continuosly having abortions, they should be sterilised, making a mistake once is understandable but 2, 3 , 4 times is just irresponsible and lazy, how hard is it to use contraception!

It all depends on the situation. It should not be used as a contraceptive like the morning after pill. But if someone had been raped and found themselves pregnant then yes it should be allowed. Or if the foetus is deformed in some way that will not allow it to have a good quality of life. But there will be plenty of people who say it shouldn't be allowed under any circumstances but what if they had the dilemma of rape or severe disability??? At the end of the day it is up to the individual.

how can enyone answer this when they have never been through it themselfes!!!!!!!!!

i alwasy said that i was against it unless there was something wrong with the baby .....as when i was at school they showed an actual abortion from inside the womb (i missed it was having medical at the time) but the girls told me what it was like and thats when i decieded not to ever go through it.... untill i was 26 yeasr old and because i already had a 4 year old and the father of the baby left me i had to make a choice if i wanted to be a single mum with 2 kids ......well i made the choice and 10 years on i regret it i knew what it was and i was nearly 3 months gone at the time and since then i have had another child with my ex husband so yes i now have 2 kids on my own ......so unless you have been through it plesae dont say yes or no....coz untill you have to make the choice for yourself you wont know what you are talking about,,, trust me.......

I believe in a woman's right to choose. I don't think they are wrong, but it seems many young women use abortion as some kind of contraception.

Personally I think the time limits should be reduced to around 16 weeks for non-medical issues and rape cases, and 22 weeks for medical reasons.

Wow...really deep question. I have to honestly say, I use to be pro-choice but as I mature, I am starting to lean more toward Pro-Life. Sometimes I think the method of abortions is being used too freely. Almost like a method of birth control. It was not meant for that and should not be used as such. This is why I see the point of Pro-Life. But I see a lot of young mothers with kids and they are struggling trying to make ends meet. I see a lot of kids in orphanages and Foster Care. Seeing this makes you consider Pro-Choice. First I think we need to educate our daughters on the many methods of birth control. Teach them to wait until they are ready to have kids.

i agree with superloop... u cant really have an opinion on someone else's personal choice unless u have been through a similar situation.. i think i am pro choice as i disagree with people who say it is wrong.... how can a gift be "meant to be" if someone has been raped i dont know.. surely if god had planned someone to be pregnant it would be through happier means...?
like i said i havent got a sturdy viewpoint, i have questions myself but i dont think people should be so angry or against those who have abortions if they do not know the individuals case... how would they like to be judged on their desicions?

It is very wrong. A baby is a gift sent from above, you should feel very luck to have conceived such a wonderful creation, even though it was under the wrong circimstances but it's not the baby's fault. Abortion is just another word for murder!

abortion is wrong and it will only make one live with great regret for the rest of the life and indefinite of any religion - no religion will say abortion is right.

Fundamentally wrong .......certainly in the used as a contraceptive way it so often sems to be these days. However, there are always exceptions to the rule and there can be times where it has to be considered as a moral choice.
