I don't understand why people want to meet celebrities, but have nothing to say!
I don't understand why people want be celebrities, but aren't talented at anything, just want to be famous, why?
I would love to be well known for being a great actress, or singer, or inventor, but would hate everyone knowning me, just for being me with nothing really to offer back for such an honour.
Why? It must be horrible going out and everyone looking at you all the time and knowing everything about you, when you know nothing about them..

➔ Celebrities
There are some 'celebrities' who are very creative, intelligent, stylish people. Yes- style (including the way you behave) is a talent. If we were put on this earth just to go about the business of surviving the human race might as well not exist.
Some celebrities may be gifted at public speaking or great humanitarians.
The Beatles were celebrities as an offshoot of their creative genius- no-one could ignore them. They not only had exceptional quality, they had an exceptional quantity of it too.
Almost without exception, when people listing names that they believe are talentless, they usually name people with exceptional talent- people who are really talented make it look effortless, partly through working at it over many years or partly through natural ability- people who would struggle to achieve a fraction of that do not always appreciate that.
It always annoys me when people gloat about handsome or beautiful people. They wrongly think that just because people look good that they don't have the setbacks and challenges of more average looking people. Pretty people are often at a disadvantage as people think that they are 'just a pretty face'.
Yes, there are celebrities who are lucky to have fame but usually the vast majority of people would be no better than them at entertaining people. Lasting greatness will stay, even if it only stays with a few people.

I have never understood that fascination either. Yes, they are just people like everyone else. I think that in some ways they must wish they were treated that way. They probably enjoy the fame at first, but it has to get old!!

well i'm obsessed with Jon Bonjovi, He had to be a famous person or otherwise how could i have known he exsists. I would love to meet him face to face, i have thousands of questions for him and i would have plenty to say. As for being looked at well it comes with the job i'd say, You can't have one without the other.. I agree about being famous for having a talent. I think JBJ is normal as well as being famous and lots of other celebs too are quite normal...

It's a mystery to me. And an even bigger mystery is why people get into acting and become popular and then don't want people to take their pictures. What did they think would happen? They're snubbing the very people that made them popular in the first place.

It is because they are 'untouchable'. You cannot interact with them, see them down the street, or talk to them - there seen to be above you.
Its like when you see the old footballers of the 50/60's. You'd see them down the road, in the post office. Back then, they wernt seen as stars. But now, footballers are indeed untouchable.
Its plain and simple really

Because even though it may not be true, celebrities seem to live the perfect life and we are always trying to find that perfection for ourselves.

My daughter feels the same way. She can't imagine why anyone possibly care who adopted a baby, or got married or whatever. They're just people - what does it matter?
