I'm mad, too. Brian could have just stayed where he was, then they would have finished 1-2-3. But, NO! Brian just HAD to win! I hope Vickers' engine blows on Saturday........

I'm not really mad at Vickers, but I didn't like the way the race ended. I hate it when someone gets wrecked on the last lap and the person who spun them (whether it was intentional or not) wins the race. But it's all part of racing so there's nothing that can be done about it. I'm a Kasey Kahne fan and was practically screaming at him to go faster after Jr. and Johnson wrecked. I think if NASCAR had dropped the caution flag a little later Kasey might have won and then Vickers wouldn't be going through what he is now. Well he probably would but it might not be as bad.
I felt really bad for Jr. though. He was doing so well and then to end up finishing 23, that had to be a disappointment for him. I was impressed at how well he handled it in the post race interview. I really had to respect the guy after that.

Here we go beating a dead horse. The race Sunday 10-8 ended unfavorably for some of our favorite drivers. So to make us feel better we blame someone else.
Yes the 25 car bumped (hit, tapped ect) the 48 car,and the 48 car struck the 8 car(my choice to win).Smoke and dust cleared and the cursing, fussing, and name calling started.
NASCAR was approched with a protest on this wreck and before official results were made the various views of the wreck were studied and the final results from NASCAR is that it was a racing accident that could have happened to anyone.
Now Vickers win will always be tarnished. And if Junior or Johnson lose the chase this same topic will be brought up and the blame will be on Vickers again.
For the record this year(2006) Gordon,Junior,Johnson,Kenseth to name a few have been involved in last lap bump and spins to win arace or bumped out of the way to lose the race.
Bottom line It was a racing deal that could happen to anyone.

I'm not, because it wasn't intentional. Now if he went out there with the intention of wrecking people, that is another story. He had the fastest car in that group. Jr. went to block, Johnson backed off and started back up the track, Vickers had no where to go, because if he stayed, Johnson was wrecking him. It's a racing deal, and about the 10th time I have answered this question.

Vickers is an idiot and that was a dirty win. However Jr. wouldn't have won the race. Johnson and probably Vickers would have drafted past him. Second or third is a hell of alot better than 23rd.
On the plus side it was nice to see the #8 car leading at will again on a restricter plate track.

Of course I am mad! What does Vickers have to loose it isn't like he is chasing after the championship like Jr and Johnson that was total crap that he went like that if anything he could of pushed Jimmy and they could went 1rst and 2nd I am a Jr fan and that was so wrong. If it would of been a Ol timer that would not of happen that way.

Uhmm how could I be mad at him. He didn't do it on purpose. It was not a bump and run bump... It was a the driver in front of me slowed up and I had nowhere to go but into his back bumper. It's called RESTRICTOR PLATE racing.. It happens. Jr, was unfortunately, just an innocent bystander....he took it in great stride, and perhaps his fans should take a lesson from him. I was very very very impressed with the way JR handled himself post race. He did very well, and I might not be a fan, but totally have to respect him after that.

Hmmm, really could care less. I would not have minded Jr winning but I'm thrilled Eyebrows did not get the win. Looks like Knaus is going to have to come up with some new and innovative ways to cheat for his man to win some races!

Yes I'm mad about it but what's done is done. I'm sure Jr is pissed as hell also but I'm pretty sure he's not dwelling in the past. It's time to move on and hope the next 2 tracks bode well for the #8 driver and team.

Nobody should be made at Vickers. He won the race fair and square, Jr wrecked Carl Edwards at Michigan to win the Busch race and nobody cared so what the heck is the big deal?

I extremely have not spoken in this undertaking yet. i don't blame Vickers. It became 2 adult men racing difficult for place, and it have been given out of hand. yet as quickly as lower back the Fox announcers jumped throughout between the drivers and clearly blamed them purely to back off later and attempt to call it a racing incident. They did a similar element to Kyle Busch final year. They blamed him initially for wrecking Jr., then after listening to Busch's statements on how issues went down, they stated because it a racing incident. i think of in the event that they could supply up with the biased evaluations till after all and sundry has of undertaking to tell their edge, the variety of great deal does not even ought to be made a million/2 the time. Rain became coming. Their have been annoyed drivers obtainable attempting to get to the front. It became the Daytona 500, the "Superbowl" of racing. something became sure to take place. i understand I initially thought Jr. became being too agressive. yet, after seeing the in automobile digicam of Vicker's coming down and bumping him around the line, and listening to Jr. say he became loose attempting to get lower back up over the yellow without advancing his place, it made extra experience to me. in simple terms 2 adult men racing difficult, the two attempting to get the fortunate canines, the two attempting to overcome the rain, neither prepared to "supply".
