Sounds like you're up a creek. Just Kidding. This problem occurs if the fully qualified domain name ( FQDN) of your computer is exactly 200 bytes long. During logon, one character more than the 200-byte allocation is written and heap corruption occurs. To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft Windows. I assume you're running XP, so you'll need SP2. You can find it at: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/sp2/default.mspx Also make sure you have all your Windows Updates. They help, too.

when you get this error are you able to log on or does it keep cycling through the boot process and getting the same error?

if that is whats happening while the computer reboots tap f5 until you get a list of boot options. choose last known good configuration.
if that doesnt work or if the scenario i described is not going on try this.
you will need your windows cd. you should try to run a windows repair. pop in the cd and reboot-press any key when promted to boot from cd (if not prompted you will have to set this in your bios to allow the computer to boot from cd 1st)-once you get it going the computer will do its thing for minute-then you will be asked if you want to install, repair, or quit-choose repair-next you will be asked if you want to use the recovery console of if you want to let windows repair-choose let windows-the computer will do its thing again-then it will reboot-after reboot one of two things will happen-it will either boot up like normal and everything will work or it will go through a similar process as a complete install-you will get prompted for some basic info language ate and time keyboard layout-this will take some time to complete. when its done everything should be fine. good luck
