It's never too late. I am a college junior and have changed my major about three or four times. Just make sure you are capable of doing the work....I am not good in math, and I pursued biology...and you have to know math for that.....Obviously I realized once I was already in the class, and failing, that it wasn't right for me. Just make sure it is something you are truly interested in. I have gone from teaching English, to teaching Biology, back to teaching English, and now it is Political Science. I realized last semester what my true passion is......sometimes it does take a little while. I would say, if you can....talk to a professor who teaches medicine related courses, and tell him your problem...He might just let you sit through one of his courses to get the feel for what the classes entail. Also, like myself...realize what it is you are truly...truly...into. I realized I was more into "real world", "politics", and the government....Not teaching, like everyone else told me to....Don't do what others say...because they don't know what it is you are truly interested in....Go by what your heart and mind tell you. This may take a while...But trust me, it's worth it! Good luck and I wish you the best from one college student to another!

It is never too late!
While in my 30s, I learned Spanish and am fairly fluent.
I turned 40 in a classroom going back to college.
I got my MA when I was 47 and my PhD at 51.
It is NEVER too late.
Go for it and good luck to you!

No, it is not too late; but you may have to find work and go to med school part time. Some school will be willing to work with you, if you are open, honest, and really sincere about completing the program.

It's never too late. Make sure you like it. Why don't you sit in on some EMT classes, to make sure you can handle the problems of blood, first.

I know someone who years ago was in your same predicament (degreed engineer). He is NOW a very successful surgeon specializing in reconstructive surgery (limited cosmetic).
