My neighbor recently bought a used truck and started to deep clean it. He took off the inside doorpanels and found live brown recluses! So he turned on the A/C and they started flooding out the vents! That has me a bit freaked out. I had never considered such a thing possible. Spiders in the house, yes. In the car! While it was for sale, it was parked under a tree which had a recluse nest.

I suggested that he get one of those bug bombs and set it off inside the truck. Anyone got a better idea? Or a suggestions to keep spiders out once he gets them out.

There is really no sure fire way to keep them out forever. There are too many vents and openings they can get in. Just clean it regularly and you should be OK.

And BTW - that story gives me the willies! That's my worst nightmare...

I would get a good residual bug spray and treat the car or truck just like a home, around all the vents, cracks and openings. Then avoid parking under trees.

Just tell the spiders that if they want to really go somewhere they have to get theyre own "website" and travel anywhere they want to go that way! But seriously sometimes they dont care what you do to your car/truck.If they decide that it isnt a disturbed place for the most part, they are quite content where they are.Although by all means keep disturbing the area and remove all egg sacks and destroy those.Eventually they could get the message.

Theres a powder you will desire to purchase which you would be able to unfold on the floor around the place you park to maintain them away out of your motor vehicle, yet remember no be counted the place u are, youre on no account extra beneficial than 3 feet from a spider.

Pour petrol on the car and set fire to it. When the fire is out, put a sign up saying 'NO spiders, by order of the management. Thank you'. Always be polite, even to spiders.
