It sounds like a philosophical question to me- I doubt they really want to know excatly how long 'the sea' has been on the earth.
There are many seas and they are never the same because there is always new rain falling on them or draining away/evaporating from them.

So 'the sea', as it is at any moment, is actually always 0 seconds old.

It depends on which sea - they were formed at different times, when the continents separated. Look up the sea on Wikipedia and see if they offer any information- the only solid answer I can offer is "really, really old". :)

I believe that when I was in high school, my earth science teacher said that the earth was 4.5 billion years old. I would go with a number close to that.
