Yes.
I don't agree with your reasonings as to why, but yes all government is corrupt.
Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely.

I believe America is corrupt in many ways. But compared to countries like China, Russia, even South Korea, we're as right as rain. Corruption in those countries happens on a horrific scale, leaving it's citizens to scramble and look for ways to either escape or join in the fray. If Americans had even a taste, a glimpse at what government corruption truly is...well, I just don't think we'd even have the backbone to digest it, even for a minute.
I don't see many Americans fleeing to Canada to get away from the corruption and hard life of living in the US. It's quite the opposite. We're all very, very, lucky. The US government would have to literally start murdering people in the streets Gestapo style, before American citizens banded together to voice any discontent.
Go to the following website, click the drop-down box to 'dollars' and input your annual income and you'll see a figure that compares your income to the rest of the world. I input my husband's income and apparently, we're millionaires...it's a real eye-opener.

If you do a bit of learning about how Socialist, Communist and Islamist governments work... you'll understand why everyone is trying to get HERE.
Nobody 'lied' about Iraq except Saddam himself. Plenty of WMD have already been found, including stuff the UN inspectors could not find for a whole decade. Most impressive were the biological weapon master samples one Iraqi scientist was ordered to conceal in a cooler in his kitchen.
Under the Bush Administration, corporate corruption (coddled during the 1990s) is being cleaned out, including Enron, Global Crossing, Tyco and so many others. Bush made it a top priority when he got into office. I'm amazed that he is not given credit for this.

Yes.
But not relatively speaking.
It's a matter of degree- and it all depends on what other country you compare America to. Many are worse. The good thing about America is that much of the corruption (i.e. Jack Abramoff, Enron) get's found out, reported upon, and prosecuted. Which- isn't the case everywhere.
Sure Bush lied, but he figured that a western democracy and peace would break out in the middle east and the ends would justify the means. Woulda' been nice if his idealistic vision came true, but sadly it didn't, and hundreds of thousands of people had to die for his foolish judgement. What the heck, it's just a trillion dollars and a couple hundred thousand lives (so far).

1. Bush corrupt - unproven, unsubstantiated - no evidence whatsoever.
2. Terrorist action? WTF?
3. Lying about 9/11. Nope, the truth is just as they said it was.
4. Iraq and oil. Wrong-o. You're batting .000 - worse than A-Rod!
5. Gov't is corrupt! Bingo! Yes, in the end, governments are generally more corrupt than their citizenry. Look at the crooks of Canada's Cretin government, look at the involvement of Chirac's buddies in the Oil-for-Food scam, etc. And let's not forget our very own hotbed of graft & corruption - Congress.

corrupt? sure. i think noam chomsky once said that every presidential administration for over the last 50 years could be brought up on war crimes. regardless, i still think we have the best opportunity to make a difference in the world. if only we would stop behaving as an aggressor as we have for so long.
as for the 9/11 connection and iraq, well that has always surprised me. saddam was no angel for sure, but the war there is twig (excuse me, bush) trying to do what his father didn't. hussein's government was fairly secular and had nothing in common with the extremist muslim taliban.

Opinions with hatred are not proving a point. The terrorist actions started long before Bush got into office, what were the lies on 911 simple two planes went into the twin towers, one in the pentagon and one downed by the brave people on the plane in PA real simple there..,so we let the terrorists take over..,guess you would enjoy wearing a burka and have a family member kill you if got raped as you would be damaged goods.Sure I want to live like that..,better learn to appreciate the freedoms you have in this country and learn a little more respect for our country or did your mommy teach you about respect???

I think america is the best place to live and I', glad to be an american, but I think all governments become corrupt to a certain extent, and because that is a constant, I don't really worry about it.

What government doesn't suffer from some sort of corruption? I'd like you to name just one... you can't do it. It's about survival of the fitest - it always has been, it always will be. Our government has it's bad moments, but the people of the United States only tolerate bad governance for so long. Just give us time...

wow....sorry but the government did not lie about iraq to get oil. WMD's were actually found. sorry, nice try.
last i checked, President Bush was not a corrupt individual. if you are going to discuss our political system, do some research on it. left-wing blogs don't count as research.
