It depends. If you're talking about 4 distinct people leaving, then there are 6 left.

However, if 3 men, including a man, his son and his grandson, are leaving, then two of them are fathers and two of them are sons, so there would be 7 people left.

(just in case this is supposed to be some sort of trick question)

No less than 6 and no more than 10.

If each of the fathers and sons was a separate person and they lived in the village and did not return then 10 - 4 = 6.

If none of the fathers or sons lived in the village, or did live there and return to the village after they left the 10 - 0 = 10. This would also be true if the "fathers and sons" were not humans, but say, goats, for example.

Either 6, 7 or 8, depending on whether the 2 fathers and 2 sons are 2, 3 or 4 people.
