You need to get a wireless router. Linksys or netgear seem to be the most popular routers. If you want good signal, you might want to get a wireless-G router. Then just hook up your ISP to the router and then use a wireless adapter card for your desktop to connect to the router wirelessly. The setup is very simple. When you buy the wireless router and the wireless adapter card, there is a CD installation and directions that pretty much explains what you need to do.

You first need to get and install a wireless network card as well as a wireless router. The network card will be configured to connect to the router. When you buy both they come with instructions on how to set it up or you can call the support services for help if you have never messed with this equipment before. I can explain the process but it wont mean anything if you dont know the lingo.
