Text, means you can get your point across with out all the waffle, plus sometimes its easier to be direct with a text, or get those emotional nervous questions out the way without sounding foolish, "do you wanna go for a drink sometime" sounds much better than er um hey I was kind of wondering if er um you wanna well if you are free to maybe sort of go for a drink sort but only if you want to

Texting is so impersonal, I hate it. You misinterperet what people say sometimes because of how people text what they say and the moods that the people are in when they are texting back and forth to one another. I like texting for quick things: dinner? Who's gonna pick the baby up from daycare? Stuff like that. I hate having entire conversations via text. AND texting gets really expensive! A lot of wireless companies have set amounts of texting packages.... not unlimited anymore. And if you go over, woah! I saw a customer in my store (I work for Cingular) and they had $300 in text messging charges! They had a 1000 message plan and they went over by like 6000 or something crazy like that because it was 5 cents for every message over the 1000!
So yeah, I like talking better.

It depends. Talking is of course better. The only time I text message someone is if I am in class and can't talk on the phone at the moment.

Depends on who I'm wanting to communicate with.
I kinda don't like texting though cause I'm afraid the other person will get angry if they don't have unlimited texting or something (cause I do and I tend to text a lot).

texting is too much work for a little comvorsation, just call the person and you can say what you want in 5 seconds instead of 15min

Texting is good, especially when you want to avoid the very personal contact, but there is no substitute for a good chat!

Text if its something I dont want to say in person (like ringing in sick to my supervisor or something) and also its good if you need to keep prove that you made contact. But for friends and family it has to be good old fashioned chat
