I've never heard of bench designer clothes, but I get most of my designer clothes from stores like detour and moxy...www.shopdetour.com, www.moxyonline.com. I guess it depends what you qualify as "designer" because a lot of people are mentioning places like JC Penny which don't sell "designer" clothes. Target has cheaper versions of the designer clothes by Isaac Mizrahi and Paul & Joe.

The only designer I really wear a lot is Paul Frank. He counts! All the shirts he makes are super cute and flattering, they make your breasts look larger. But Nordstroms is good, but obviously the best place is T.J. Maxx. Marshall's is also good and it's easier to find the designer stuff. The trick is to become less racist and more okay with Baby Phat, those are incredibly cute clothes that aren't given the credit they deserve. But at Marshall's and T.J.'s you can sometimes find designer stuff at a cheap price.

I shop in a variety of places. Privately owned inexpensive boutiques. Also Rave, Rainbow, Target, Overstock.com, Victoria's Secret, Newport News, Chadwicks(when I need something conservative, like classic jackets). I have found some great pieces in thrift stores that support social causes. They usually have a lot of hardly worn high end items.

I don't shop at Wal-Mart or anything, but nor do I shop at extremely high end stores. To me, high end stuff looks ugly. I hate Gucci and things like that.
I stick to Hot Topic, Goody's, JC Penney's, Profitts, and online stores. Like t-shirts, I usually buy from online stores of music bands, or television shows that I like. I.E. Dog the bounty hunter.com, greenday.com, pimpit.com, chromeshopmafia.com, inyaface.com, hottopic.com, etc.....
I think that once something looks like what everyone in hollywood wears, which is high end, that people all look the same. I have this island, fighter, mechanic, punk rocker look all mashed up. I don't care what people think of me, I just like the brands that I like.

If you want to spend the money directly from the designer is always good. If you are looking to not spend thousands of dollars The Buffalo Exchange has tons of high brand names and it is definitely worth it!
