The main problem with those kinds of solutions is that they are doomed from the start. The only people who obey those laws are just the folks that would never shoot up a school in the first place. Criminals do not obey gun control laws....or any other laws. That's why we call them "criminals".
There are already laws that make schools "gun free" zones. Laws that forbid killing people. Laws that forbid the use of a firearm in the commission of a crime. etc, etc, etc.....
Criminals do as they please, regardless of laws to the contrary.
As you yourself have said; "guns are everywhere and easily found."
Taking the good guys' guns away simply turns them into potential victims. Had several of the teachers been armed, perhaps there might have been less innocent blood spilled. Unfortunately, by law, they were disarmed and helpless.
And, gun owners are held accountable. Many states have laws about having their weapons secured properly. You cannot, however, expect them to be absolutely theft-proof.
If someone comes into a house, steals a gun and kills someone with it, that is the Criminal's fault, not the original gun owner's. That would be like saying if someone steals a car and wrecks it, killing someone, the original owner is at fault for not properly securing the car against being stolen in the first place.
The bottom line, wishful thinking aside, is that the criminal that wants a gun, will get one. Depriving an innocent citizen of their legal weapon simply makes them a victim, unable to resist the armed criminal.

Actually, the opposite is true. There are many studies that show an armed populace being an effective deterrent to crime. And if the criminals fail to be deterred, common sense will tell you that an armed populace is the most qualified to deal with the threat. I personally think that certain teachers, say those with military experience, should be permitted to carry concealed weapons in the school and be trained in methods of dealing with shootings.
As much as is possible, kids should be helped before they have time to escalate to the kind of violence we see in school shootings. The first recommendation is meant to deal with the ones who slip through the cracks.
Most importantly, kids need help from the most important people in their lives, moms and dads. Parents are so busy these days that kids often fall through the cracks in their own homes.
Guns aren't the real problem, so it stands to reason that removing them from the picture isn't the real answer. People commit crimes. If you want to stop these acts, you have to change the people, change the kids, stop the senseless violence in the media (which do influence people whether they want to admit it or not), give kids the support they need and stop teaching them that they are animals and there is no right and wrong.

as long as human beings exist, murders will ensue. In a unfastened and open society like the U. S., crime turns into much extra probably. you may attempt some form of totalitarian regime, different than even then crime could nonetheless exist - it may basically be lined up and the government could additionally be committing crimes as a fashion to subjugate the inhabitants. The media which has a accountability to checklist the information, additionally capitalizes on it for rankings and soaks those thoughts for all their nicely worth and in turn politicians use those thoughts to scare human beings into desirous to take rights far off from different individuals interior the ensures of "fake secure practices." The shape supplies Congress the skill advance a protection stress and Congress has finished so. The *protection stress is the folk*, the protection stress is an armed civilian base which because of the fact of their gun possession could be referred to as into action if ever necessary. It replaced into concept of our forefathers that an armed civilian inhabitants replaced into the only thank you to assure freedom from an oppressive government and the suited protection of our sovereignty. it truly is the reason the suited to undergo has constantly meant to be the folk. many of the folk who fought innovative conflict have been *civilians with weapons* who fought alongside the protection stress in aspects the place the protection stress could have interaction in attempt against. jointly as many could prefer to reinterpret the form to suite their political schedule: historic previous, precedent and motive has constantly defined the 2nd substitute because of the fact the folk, because of the fact the protection stress has constantly been the folk. Switzerland is yet another us of a who additionally has ordinary an civilian protection stress, almost each and every citizen is had to have a gun; actually Switzerland has the maximum gun possession interior the international. the reason in the back of our crime fee is two fold: One being an particularly super inhabitants and the different being our own freedoms that provides us an particularly open society, a society the place human beings can come and pass as they please without subject of interference from the government.

Taking guns away from people will not deter school massacare. There are other leathal weapons out there that kids can use to kill. I put most of the blame on the parents. They should be held responsible for their kid actions.
I find it amusing for those morons out there to think that these things happen because god is not allow in school. Think about it. The almighty god with such unimaginable powers would let these things happened in school because he is not allow to be in school.

No, I am a liberal but taking guns away is not the answer....giving educators and families the education and tools to identify the children who are at risk and making psychological interventions will help....But, There is no way to stop it completely...someone always falls through cracks...

The NRA and I agree we should not be taking guns away but handing them out.
One way to take power away is by creating an equal playing field.

no, helping children who have problems and making them feel loved is part of the answer. also spotting a problem child is helpful. mostly, parents need to be aware of their children and stop having kids they can't give adequate attention to. but there is no easy solution. god in school could be problematic but teaching creation as well as evolution only seems fair.
