If you are running Windows XP, you have a (simple) movie editor included for free. Click on Start > All Programs > Accessories > Movie Maker. It is a very basic editor, but it will get you started.

To make a movie you will need a recording device such as a camcorder or a recording digital camera. To edit your movie you will need a program to import your movie to and edit as the program permits. There are many 'movie' type programs, so check them out to see which suits your needs.

If you're on an Apple/Mac, use iMovie or Final Cut Pro if available.

If you're on a PC, use Windows Movie Maker (Comes with XP) or Pinnacle DVD Studio if available.

it depends on the input source and type of machine u have either it be windows or mac based.

If you want to edit videos to DVDs you can use a product called Dazzle- it's pretty simple to use and works great.

windows movie maker if your running a pc, if its a mac imovie works to. theyre both simple and its easy to import videos.
