I'm in the USA. Can I download songs from other iTunes stores? (at the bottom of the iTunes page, it gives you the obtion from switching to the U.K store, Austrailia, Japan, etc.) I wasn't sure if this would mess up my iPod. I've noticed that other countries iTune stores have more music than ours. What's that about?

Unfortunately, you cannot download songs from international iTunes stores, such as France, if you are in the USA. iTunes will log either your IP address or your billing address to confirm you are in the US. Due to licensing laws, US customers cannot purchase music outside of the US store -- believe me, I've tried.

Each country's itunes music store will offer more local and specific music to the specific country. It will not mess up your ipod, it only changes your settings within the itunes program itself. If there's music you're looking for but it's only offerred through another country's music store, then enter the music store, click on your email address in the top-riht corner, sig-in and then you will have the opportunity to change which country's music store you would like as your preference.
