Can't go wrong with the Mixed Bag and lots of Tootsie Rolls & Smartees for "filler". One year, Dragon, we lived in a very popular neighborhood and bought LOTS of candy to hand out. By the end of the night, we had run out twice and the store was out, so I had to resort to Ginseng tea and pennies. I fully expected to get egged, or at least T.P.'d. I had a couple of kids ask me later why I gave them tea.

JoBu help Dragon with this important poll. JoBu always says go with the Various choices: Always include Reeses Peanut Butter Cups, Milky Way, Nestle Crunch, M&M's, and Snickers. Also if you want to be the cool one on the block pick up some Nerds if you can find em.
I would offer Rum Shots, but that would never go over well.

Anything Chocolate. Snickers are always good. And Candy Necklaces/ braclets for those really girly girls or people who don't like chocolate. And an old favorite. Lemon Heads.
Whatever you do don't give whole walnuts or raisans or healthy stuff. it will be thrown at your house as they walk away!!! HAHA

Candy bars were always a hit with me. I would get a bag of the assorted candy bars like Almond Joy, Snickers, 3 Musketeers, Milky Way etc. and let them pick 3 or so.
Your Welcome!

Chocolate is always a winner!
Smartees area cheap (but I like them)
stay away from raisins or nuts in candies...someone might have nut allergies, and raisins are just gross

I give out ice cubes. I keep them hid in my hand so the kids can't see them. They just hear and feel the "Plunk". Then they wonder how they got water in their candy..=0) Mean huh?
