Mayor Ray Nagin wants a “chocolate” New Orleans
On MLK Day, a day named in honor of a man who fought for equality, New Orleans Mayor and all-around bigot Ray Nagin called for a “chocolate New Orleans” - in front of a crowd that had gathered at City Hall for a MLK Day march:

“We ask black people … It’s time for us to come together. It’s time for us to rebuild New Orleans — the one that should be a chocolate New Orleans,” Nagin said Monday. “This city will be a majority African American city.
And in what could only be characterized as an imitation of Pat Robertson, Nagin added:

It’s the way God wants it to be. You can’t have New Orleans no other way. It wouldn’t be New Orleans.”

- He wants a chocolate New Orleans? Let's let Neslte build it for them then - We all know Nestle makes the very best chocolate!

It would have been nice if he used the opportunity to say: We, as citizens of this great city and nation...its time for us to rebuild New Orleans. Yes this city is majority African American, but it is one hundred percent American and we will build as Americans and help our neighbours as Americans and no more will we divide into white or black Americans or rich and poor Americans. No longer will we divide.

But no. He had to make chocolate MLK.

new Orleans has always been filled with African-Americans mostly the poor workers. the one' s who are still homeless. and that is a reason the city isn't dong so swell still there's nowhere to house the worker bees the backbone of the city labor force.
its a fact the mostly white part of town was not only barely ruined but was quickly repaired.
he has made very public statements since that he apologized sounding a little excessive in the heat of the moment.. you didn't hear that cause you need to spin negative? what?
I'd very much like to see the poor in new orleans start to get the same help to be back in homes and working that the whites did. . i understand the music industry has helped the many mostly black performers replace some of their instruments.
and you cant hope to have the same colorful new orleans if you take out the local color.
i take it you've never been there or you would have understood the statement. most outsiders who know nothing about the place were the ones offended.
and you can't be so dumb as to think they meant candy.
but yea, a chocolate factory would sure help the economy would you be able to comment about that? intellegently?

Ray Nagin is perhaps the most despicable politician in the US today. He flagrantly violated the 2nd Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens and confiscated their only means of self-defense in a time of chaos. Is there a more despicable act imaginable? Nagin is nothing less than a Nazi.

THE WHOLE CITY SHOULD BE CONDEMNED AND FLOODED. IT'S JUST A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE THE SAME THING HAPPENS AGAIN. I DON'T WANT MY TAX DOLLAR GOING TO THE REBUILDING OF A CITY THAT'S DOOMED.
