"Catfish" Hunter vs Ferguson Jenkins - Who is the best, your favorite and your 7th game starter?

First off, awesome question. Nice to see some history beyond the 2006 season, especially regarding two HOFers who don't often much credit.

Of the two, I think Fergie had the better career. Many of their numbers are similar, but I have to give Jenkins credit for being a winner on some seriously atrocious clubs. However, I give him the advantage only by the smallest of margins.

As for my favorite, I'd again go with Fergie in a tough decision. He mainly gets it because I'm Canadian and obviously biased in his favour. But Catfish gets high marks, too, for being a character off the field, even if his nickname was just something made up by Charlie Finley.

As for my Game Seven starter, it's Catfish. I love Jenkins, but he didn't have any postseason experience in his career. I'd go with Hunter, a guy who went 10-2 in the playoffs and who won 5 titles with the A's and Yankees.

Limiting myself to those two, I'd go with Jenkins, simply because he accomplished so much with so many completely lame teams. What would he have done pitching for the great A's and Yanks teams of the 70s, like Catfish did?

The best - Toss up!! Both of them were good.
Favorite - I'm going with Catfish. I think because I saw him pitch more times than I saw Jenkins.
7th game starter - Hard to say, both of them had that killer instinct. But I'll have to go with Catfish, because I picked him as my favorite.
