A good friend of mine passed away and today I am feeling his loss, but I am now angry as well as weepy - Is this normal?

Completely. Your emotions will run the gamete from depressed, to angry to lost to bitter and some emotions you won't even comprehend. Don't try to rationalize your emotions. You need to grieve and this is your way of doing it.

Yes. It is totally normal. Depression, which is something I know lots about, is hand in hand with anger. Temporary depression is not any different, except it doesn't come in cycles. Anger at your loss is a classic reaction. If you are religious, you may be angry at God. If not, you may be angry with whoever your mind can find, such as doctors, ambulance drivers, or EMTs who, in your mind, had the capability to save your friend.
