Why do people consistently come on here and ask questions that they could instantly find by google searching it?

There are IQ-dropping chemicals in the water supply. That's the only think I can think of that would cause the kind of idiocy on this site that you quite correctly point out.

You will be able to find anything by doing a Google search but everything you find is not written specifically for you. It is always there but Google just takes you there. With Yahoo! Answer you get people, real people, answering your question somewhere in the world. Sometimes you get almost an instant response and that's what makes it so special. Some of us are here for fun but many are genuinely offering help and advice.

Google Search and Google Earth. and you don't google it.. you enter the word in a web search box.
Because there are always people who are new to computers and truly don't know. So if you dont have the patience to help them then I suggest you go somewhere else. I am angry with this question. Elaine

Of course they know about google .. but they do not have the time or do not want to spend the time to do a search so they let other computer addicts or people who have already found good information or solutions search for them or to provide the best answers lol

Oh my god i understand. It annoys the hell out of me, I only prefer to be like, "Google it, dude." yet I waste solutions then :[ This individual isn't speaking approximately critiques, human beings. I continuously google my questions using fact maximum possibly, the 1st element that pops up is GASP! Yahoo solutions!

cos they want answers to more complicated than just definitions, and they want the personal touch. It is also helpful to save from searching through 3000 pages to find the one detail needed, when someone might know it off the top of their head and get a thumbs-up for doing it!

Too often because it is the only way they can feel like they are taking part in something social. I’m sure there are those who do it because they are too lazy, but many of them simply don’t know how to participate socially and this becomes their only outlet.
