Open internet options by clicking tools, internet options in IE or by using control panel, internet options. Choose the applications tab and pick your email client of choice.

two possibilities.

try turning off your computer and back on again. this resets all your computers default settins.

if this doesn't help then in internet explorer click on tools > internet options > click delete files button. this clears your temporary internet files folder. some people having problems with yahoo mail says this helps

if it's the same 'kerplunk' i've experienced it 'may' be your pop-up blocker - you'll need to put your email site/url as one that accepts pop ups!

1. email client how u trying to access
2. version of windows or mac
3. what have u tried already
4. does it ever give any errors.
