Sunburn on an African American depends on the complection of their skin. For lightskinned people, there can be a reddish discoloration along with peeling. For darker complected people, the skin gets darker but doesn't burn.

Yes; can and have. People with darker skin don't sunburn as easily as those with lighter skin, but it's still possible if you spend too much time in the sun with little or no protection.

Sure. Every single person on this earth can get sunburned. Eskimo es can see 301 different shades of white, but ordinary folks see only one white. Dark skin tones has over 100 different shades of brown, gold, black, orange and red but ordinary folks can only see brown or black. In answer to your question. YES! everyone gets sunburned!

Yes - when we were in India, one of our staff got quite badly sunburned and when he removed his turban he skin beneath was very much lighter than his face.
So, everyone can get burned - darker skin gives better protection, but is not immune from damage.

Yes even though you might not be able to see it on some our skin can start to peel. On light skinned african- americans you will see a red spot.

Anyone with skin can get sunburned. It doesn't matter if you're whiter than Mister Rogers or blacker than Chris Rock.

it wont show up as red, but my ex got it so bad his arms blistered and swelled to almost double their size, excessive exposure to the sun damages the skin, regardless of color.
