My fiance, has purchased a home for me and my children. We are getting married in a few months. My previous marriage I had to file bankruptcy, so our broker said to wait another six months and my name will be put on it. I was always the one to do everything and now he does it. When we talk about the house I feel like a loser.....like I dont deserve it to be mine. I make more money than he does and I pay equal if not more of the bills. Should I feel bad or not? please help

I think when you're use to supporting yourself and taking care of yourself it's devastating to your emotional well being when you've been forced into something like bankruptcy. However, it sounds like the two of you made a decision and you're carrying your weight now so it's just a matter of time before your credit will be clear again.

Put your pride aside for now. Your broker was smart in the way the transaction was handled as the interest penalties could have been substantial or the loan may not have even been approved with the bankruptcy. In six more months, you'll have your name on the title which will substantially help you rebuild your credit.

Hold your head high! Many of us have been there!
