That is a test to verify that you are human and not some automated script program that will try and spam/abuse the system.

it is a security check, just to ensure that u r nt using nything apart from a comp to acess their site. also, it ensures that u r the genuine sender of information. the code gets registered to ur ip address and ut particular comp address.

it's a security measure to make sure a live person is filling in the data, not a bot or some program.
