I went to a bookstore and the clerk DEMANDED my name, address, and phone. SHe also was going to keep track of the title I was plannning on purchasing.
I did not buy the book.
Isnt this big brohter?????

Good for you for not giving it to them. I NEVER give them my phone number, and I can't even stand when I return something that they want me to fill out my name and address etc. I tell them, I paid cash, and you didn't need my name when I bought it , so you don't need my name and number now.
Don't ever give out info to people, the fewer people with hands in your life , the better.

Its more likely that they wanted to send you marketing materials and sell your phone number to telemarketing firms. But its good you didn't buy the book, I suggest publishing the name of the bookstore so everyone who reads this can avoid shopping there in the future.

No. Big Brother is George Orwell's dystopia where the government wants to be loved, but as the message flows down through the heirarchy it becomes, 'the goverment is to be loved'...and as it flows down through the bureaucracy it changes to, 'it is necessary to love Big Brother(the government), and finally, ' if you don't love Big Brother you are not sane, we will help you become sane.' .....it is similar to Christianity and Islam.
