Not going to happen. The loss to OSU pretty much knocks them out.

Option 1. OSU wins out goes to the championship and Texas is one of several one loss teams. Not going to get the votes needed to be #2 as no one would want that rematch given the way OSU beat them.

Option 2. OSU loses - this just pushes Texas down the food chain since OSU and Texas are eat one loss teams but OSU beat Texas at Texas.

The true contenders right now are:
OSU\Michigan winner - just have to win out.
Florida - probably just has to win out unless then struggle and USC flies.
USC - needs either OSU and Mich or Florida to lose.
UWV\UofL winner - Needs USC and Florida to lose

All other teams will needs some series of upsets to get them to the championship game. Though the season is young so many things can still happen just ask Auburn.

For example if Mich were to lose to Iowa but beat OSU and Florida were to lose to Georgia or Auburn. While UofL lost a game then beat UWV and USC lost to Cal and Texas wins out then we could have a mess of 1 loss teams that have beaten other 1 loss teams etc so all bets are off.

I think there quarterback grew up in the Ohio State game and I seriously think Texas is the best team in the college football. Not sure if they will mange to move up enough to make it to the big dance but I definitely think they deserve to be there and I don't think anyone could beat them.

TO answer your question, no, I don't think anyone is pulling for Texas to get to the "big" game. In fact, I'd be happy if they didn't get to "any" game, post-season-wise.
