You would go blind. It (usually) contains methanol, which the liver metabolises into formaldehyde (the stuff they use to preserve extracted tissues from animals). Formaldehyde is a particularly toxic substance.
The remedy would be to drink ethanol (ordinary alchohol)- i understand that the liver metabolises ethanol with priority in comparison to methanol, and so eventually methanol passes out of the body safely without being processed by the liver.

Oye.... You would suffer a horrible, very painful POSSIBLE death, but if you lived, you could end up as a vegetable, or they may have to remove part of your lower intestine and then you would have a Poop bag attached to your hip for the rest of your life...

my grandfather put some in a dish in the garage once and mice and rats drank it. They bloated up exploded and died

well, my friend's cat drank some & lived, but she was acting funny for awhile..............I really wouldn't suggest it. Besides I've tasted it & it really isn't that pleasant.-Kinda think yet thin...weird texture.
