I found this debate on a local talkshow. Should married men/women be allowed to indulge in adult entertainment such as adult mags, vids, etc and even strippers as long as they do not go as far as to actually commit intercourse with anyone else but their spouse. To what extent should they be allowed to indulge, if you say their are limits, but not entirely banning it. Does having children affect the decision any?

I think every couple has a different opinion on this one. My husband and I have discussed what and where our limits are and we respect one another's boundaries. We also have very open communication so there's no "wondering" or "second guessing" what those limits are.
We have 3 children, ages 4 months, 11 and 6 years and they do not affect our decisions on this. If we're up to a little "adult entertainment" we find a sitter and do not have items of a sexual nature (toys, books, magazines, movies, etc) in a readily accessible area.
Do we really need more rules or laws telling us what we can or cannot do? As long as your views are not forced upon another individual, then live and let live!

My opinion is partaking in all the above is permissable and I wish my husband would. I think it should definetly be kept from children. You wouldn't want them to be biased by your activities and do these things when they are older simply because you did.
I believe that intercourse is cheating and that all of the other stuff can just jazz things up.

as long as both partners are in agreement with what is acceptable then i don't see why there is a problem. i believe it spices things up, especially when you've been married for nearly 20 years. so, yes, married people should indulge in adult entertainment if they so choose.

Perfectly OK.
Limits OK if one spouse doesn't like it but to forbid it is wrong and controlling.
Doesn't need to be together.
Doesn't change if you have children. You are not taking them to the all nude strip club, chippendales, or the adult video and toy store.

If the two of them agree to it I don't see anything wrong with it as long as they are entertaining each other and not someone else.

me and my husband watch pornos together, but he dont read mags or go to the strip clubs as that would piss me off I guess I dont mind him doing stuff like that as long as he is with me except for the stripping I dont like that, I would never go to a male strip club out of respect for him and I expect him to have the same amount of respect for me
