First of all, what type of acne is it? Do you get big, painful, cystic pimples that may or may not ever come to a head? Or do you get blackheads? Whiteheads? Each type needs to be treated differently.

I'm 20 and still get acne. It's a fact of life. My skin just isn't perfect and flawless. It's me. Don't like it? Tough. Don't look at me if it's that big of a deal to you.

The best thing you can do is LEAVE IT ALONE! Don't try and pop them, don't use anything like sewing needles to try and pop them. Keep your hands off. I personally use neutrogenia's oil free face soap and an exfoliating cream to keep skin cells from building up and creating white heads or black heads. Unfortunately, I'm prone to getting the cystic ones near "that time" of month.

Not eating chocolate is an old wives tale, by the way. You should switch to a more educated dermatologist.

Don't let brats in high school drag you down. I was a late bloomer, overweight and ackward until I hit 18. I'm 5'4'', 105 and I've had more than a few guys break neck on me since I got out of highschool. You know what's really funny? Alot of those pretty, preppy brats I went to school with have bad skin, bad hair and too many children already. Don't be a pretty bit.ch, or God will send you back nice and ugly.

I'm so sorry you are feeling down. You are feeling self conscious so you think the first thing people see when they look at you is your flaws. That is not true unless they are especially petty.

As far as your acne. I agree with a lot of these ladies so I won't repeat their answers. Just a couple more tips. Change your pillow case often. Try a different laundry detergent for your linens. Always remove your make-up before you go to bed. Don't over wash or use any product with Alcohol in it on your face or hair. Keep your hair and hands off your face. Use oil free make-up and watch your fatty food intake.

I have also had several friends who are parents buy Natures Cure for their teens and it has had a great impact on their acne.

Sometimes the simplest solutions work the best.

Well first of all you need to boost your self esteem. I;m sure thats not the first thing they notice about you. Its probably your personality. Everyone has there own and thats what people should notice. I have never really had acne problems but pimples all the time. Also if you use chap stick a lot it could be from that. Also, some lipsticks and make up cause acne too. Of course they wouldn't advertise that. I don't know if you wear make up but i would try some different things. Yes chocolate does cause acne but so do a lot of other things. Remember its not how you look its how you are. Hope things get better for you.

I have dealt with acne around my mouth and chin since i was a teen and i have to say that i too get embarrassed. There are two things that i have found to work in reducing it.
1. Wash your face with St. Ives Apricot scrub which you can buy at any store
2. A skin care line called Vichy. I wash with the face wash then put on the anti-imperfection cream called Norma Derm. The price of the face wash is $25 but it lasts awile and it works.

It has been said that eatching chocolate and foods like that are a myth when it comes to causing acne. Acne is usually caused by hormones in the body. I find that prior to and following my period is the worst time for acne for me. Well good luck and believe it or not.........people do not care if you have acne or not. It took me awhile to figure that out.

Sweetie you know this is not uncommon. I as a teenager had some serious breakouts.Let me tell you something if people only see you for your pimples then they are not worth your time. I'm also mixed race ,and i went to an all white school,so being mixed and having pimples made me feel very uncomfortable with myself. The funny thing is i am all grown up now and girl i do not talk to anyone i went to school with. I am very beautiful now and when i do see them, i walk right by them cause i know i am better than them. I know its hard just being a female, you could try pro active. I use that now for about 4 years and my skin is so great now.Its not expensive either it cast me 40 dollars every three months. It's worth a shot, but you have to stick to it.Remember stay confident you are a beautiful person, and i can tell that just from reading your question.Whoever can't see that quality in isnt worth a second of your time.

your doctor is wrong about 2 things. Chocolatew actually helps the skin and is not linked to acne. Washing your face 3 times a day is bad as it will dry out and irritate your face causing it to peel and burn. Only wash it twice a day with a solution like Proactive or Phosederm. Try eating healtier, washing your face 2 a day and drinking lots of water to help keep your face and body hydrating. Drinking water can help acne to! Good Luck

I know your doc told you to stay away from chocolate, but I've been told so so so so many times that chocolate has nothing to do with it! That sometime it is actually good for your skin b/c it has caffeine in it! Thats just what i've heard. Your doc might be right! The best thing i know to do to clear up acne is to drink lots and lots of water! And clean your face 2 times a day!
Hope this helps!
Good luck:)

Don't worry you will get over that age specially if you are a teen. You should try proactive i have heard so many good things about it.They advertise it in T.V so try to get the number or try to look it up in on the web.Don't feel bad a lot of people go through that and its nothing like from the other world. Also do what your dermatologist tells you to do.Good luck

I doubt you have a severe case of acne. If you did, your derm would prescribe antibiotics. Use the cream, keep your hands away from your face and you should be as good as new in a week.

No one notices your imperfections the way you do. Try and keep your mind off your face and just be yourself.

There various cheers: start up with "Glory to God in maximum ..." God does not want cheers, we do. it quite is the "we" which you're cheering on. working example, Paul makes his factor making use of atheltic kit. Pslams tell different cheers David sang to Saul.
